1. Controller and scope
The data controller is Centrum Strategii Marketingowej sp. z o.o., Targowa 35, 90-001 Łódź, Poland (“we”). Contact: hello@centrumstrategii.com. This policy covers the website centrumstrategii.com including its Norwegian pages under /no/. It does not cover the websites of hotels, casinos, booking services or other third parties we link to; those have their own policies.
2. Nature of the site
Casino Hotel Index is an independent information and review website. It describes real, existing hotels and casinos. We are not owned by or affiliated with any of them, we do not sell rooms, take bookings, process payments or operate gambling. The only personal data we process is the data you choose to send us and the minimal technical data needed to serve the pages.
3. Data we collect
We collect: (a) data you enter in the contact / reservation-inquiry form - name, email address, chosen hotel or topic, optional travel dates and your message; (b) technical data generated automatically when you visit - IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, date and time, held in server logs; (c) cookie and local-storage data described in the Cookie Policy; (d) with your consent, anonymised analytics events.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to: answer your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR - steps at your request before any contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) - legitimate interest in correspondence); keep the site secure and diagnose faults (Art. 6(1)(f)); measure which pages are useful, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); comply with legal obligations such as responding to authorities (Art. 6(1)(c)). We never use your data for profiling, automated decisions or marketing lists.
5. The contact and reservation-inquiry form
The form is clearly marked as a reservation inquiry, not a booking. We do not forward your data to hotels or booking services unless you explicitly ask us to in your message. We do not request or store payment details, passport numbers or dates of birth; please do not include them. Messages are received by email at our domain and stored in our mailbox and, where relevant, a simple internal ticket list.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser local-storage entries: an essential entry that remembers your cookie choice, and - only if you accept - an anonymised analytics measurement. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. The full list, purposes and lifetimes are in our Cookie Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
7. Analytics
If you accept analytics, we count page views and interactions in aggregate. IP addresses are truncated before storage, no cross-site identifiers are used and no data is shared with advertising networks. We use the results to decide which reviews to update first. If you choose “Essential only”, no analytics run.
8. Third-party services and links
The site links to official hotel websites, casino operators, regulators, responsible-gambling organisations, Booking.com, Google Maps and Wikimedia Commons. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy and, often, its own cookies; we do not control them and receive no data back. Links open in a new tab and carry no affiliate or tracking parameters.
9. Server logs and security
Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) to detect abuse and keep the service available. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted or anonymised. The site is served over HTTPS.
10. Retention periods
Inquiry emails and their replies are kept for 12 months after the last exchange, then deleted, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute or by law. Server logs: up to 30 days. Analytics aggregates contain no personal data and are kept indefinitely. The cookie-choice entry lives in your browser until you clear it.
11. Recipients and processors
Data is accessed only by the editorial team of Centrum Strategii Marketingowej sp. z o.o. and by our hosting and email providers acting as processors under written agreements. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with hotels, casinos, booking services or advertisers.
12. International transfers
Our servers and email are located in the European Economic Area. If a processor transfers data outside the EEA, it does so under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Norway is part of the EEA, and the GDPR applies to readers there through the EEA Agreement.
13. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to hello@centrumstrategii.com; we answer within one month. You may also complain to the Polish supervisory authority (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl) or to Datatilsynet in Norway (datatilsynet.no).
14. Children
The site describes venues with 18+ and 21+ age limits and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after a change means you have read the new version.
